I saw my friend's MN Market Bag from the Fidelis Co. and was literally giddy. Tote-obsessed, I couldn't stop wondering why had I not seen this before?!? And then to find out that they are a local company with a super strong purpose on providing quality tools we carry and things we use...I had to share!

This market bag had me at the rivets, the leather and the jute. It is stunning AND practical - and I can never resist a shout out to the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Forever a fan of the Run for the Roses...horses, hats and mint juleps!

Here's a favorite recipe for the official mint julep of the Kentucky Derby:

Serves 12

• 3 cups of sugar
• 1 1/2 cups water
• 2 bunches fresh mint, divided
• 24 oz. (3 cups) Kentucky whisky (Early Times is the official brand of the Derby)
• Crushed ice
• Frosted pewter or silver cups (the cutest) or tall old-fashioned glasses

Combine sugar and water and bring to a boil. Let simmer for 10 minutes until thick and clear. While hot, stir in (1) bunch of mint sprigs. Let cool. Then strain the syrup into a small container and discard the mint.

When ready, pour (2) ounces (1/4 cup) whiskey and (2) ounces of syrup into each ice filled, frosted cup. Add a sprig of mint (and for fun, a cute striped straw to match your jockey's colors!)

When I get obsessed with something (a la BP Cleanse, the Junk Bonanza, Birchbox, TOMS, the coffee at the local cafe Jensen's...), I am compelled to shout about it from the rooftops. My newest victim is Supergoop!.

I have a crush on this sunscreen and can't stop buying it in all forms...serums, travel-size, wipes, lip balm...you name it! It's amazing and it's not even that sunny in Minnesota yet! But just like my mom reminded us to always have good manners...with our fair-skinned Scandinavian roots, she also reminded us to wear SUNSCREEN. And I'm no different with my boys. They are just lucky enough to know about Supergoop! out of the gates.
